FAQ’S

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, please! Liberty and Lace is intimate (okay, fine, it's a cozy little spot!) and we want to give each bride the attention she deserves. Booking in advance allows you to have a totally private appointment and ensures you’ll book a date and time that works best for you and your guests. Dress appointments typically take 60 minutes.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Your undergarments - a strapless bra, Spanx or undies - and shoes. If you don't have your wedding shoes yet, totally fine; we recommend any pair that will be close to the heel high you'll wear on your big day! We do ask that you avoid coming with a fresh spray tan or wearing heavy makeup. Want to bring some bubbly? Fine with us!

Who can join me?

We recommend a crew of 3 or less - family and friends whose opinions you value. Sometimes too many opinions make it harder to make a decision, and while other people may have a beautiful vision for you, it's your vision that matters most! If you do roll deep, though, please give us a head's up so we can make sure our space can accommodate your party.

What sizes do you carry?

We carry sample gowns sizes 6 - 12, and can order dresses up to a 24 for plus size and even custom sizes that exceed that.

What is your price range?

We’re a mid-range salon, meaning our dresses are priced between $2000 - $4500. We'll help you chose a gown that's in your price range and won't ever push you to spend more than you're comfortable with. Prices for accessories and retail items vary. We also carry consignment dresses and accessories, which can help make your purchase more affordable.

What about alterations?

We order your dress based on your measurements, but we can pretty much guarantee that your dress will need alterations for a perfect fit. We don't provide alterations in-shop at the moment, but we're happy to recommend and put you in touch with our favorite local tailors.

When should I start shopping for a dress?

We ask for about 4 months from when you order your dress until it arrives in-shop, since our dresses are made to order. Give yourself an additional 2-3 months for alterations. On the safe side, it's great to start shopping 8 - 12 months before your wedding. For those brides in a bit of a pinch, we can rush your dress in about 6-8 weeks (which will incur a rush fee.)

What designers do you carry?

We love the exclusive feeling of Liberty and Lace, and to stay true to this vibe, we’ve launched with gowns from Kelly Faetanini. We’re the exclusive Philly stockist for Kelly, and so we promise that your dress won't be found anywhere, or on anybody, else! Many of our gowns feature customizable beading, detachable necklines, and removable sleeves, making each dress that much more unique. We worked with Kelly's team to carefully select elegant wedding dresses that feature various silhouettes, necklines, fabrics (think lace, tulle, crepe, and Mikado), and colors (hello blush, blue, and ivory dresses!), so no two dresses are the same. Oh, and did we mention you can customize your gown to your liking?!

What other pretty things do you have?!

We're so glad you asked! In addition to dreamy dresses, we also offer veils, cards, jewelry, and other items you'll want for your big day. Need a gift for a newly engaged friend? We can help with that, too.

Do you accept and sell consignment dresses and accessories?

Sure do! We accept and sell never worn / gently worn veils and wedding dresses in all sizes. It’s a great way as a seller to make money back on your wedding dress, and a great way as a bride to find the (affordable!) dress of your dreams without going over-budget. To consign with us, please email to get more information. To try on our consignment dresses, fill out out appointment request form to book.

Talk to me about Trunk Shows + Sample Sales!

A trunk show is when a designer sets up shop in our boutique with gowns that we don't normally carry. Special gifts and discounts are usually included. It's a great way to see and try on more of a designer's collection. Appointments are required.

A sample sale is when gowns are sold as-is off the rack. If you need a dress ASAP, or want to wear a certain designer but at a cheaper price point, a sample sale may be for you.

We'll make announcements and share the details of when we have trunk shows and sample sales so you don't miss out.

The small print.

All sales are final. A 60% deposit is required at the time of your purchase. Cash, debit and credit cards are accepted, and your final payment is due at the time of dress pick-up.
